hey joan. the first time i saw you i knew we had a connection (or, i knew we would be good together.)

you're smart. i'm artsy. but i didn't show off my artsy side as soon as possible because i wanted to see if you also had a creative outlet and if you were any good.

i figured out you sang in a choir, learned how to sing and play guitar on your own without a teacher, and write research papers and poetry. i just noticed that you keep writing poetry in tagalog, writing research papers in english, and also composing music in tagalog. i noticed that you also wore black to your award acceptance ceremony (for your award-winning film ost). you wore a black long-sleeved polo shirt for a classical composition.

you also wear white pants to school because you just came from judo practice.

i like your face. i like your height. i like your lean body type. i also like your skin color. it's just the right kind of brown. like bamboo.

i kind of didn't make it all the way to your place just because of these preferences:

1. i wish you liked indie rock. because i like indie rock also. (i just listened to christian music and korean indie at that time. but i listened to christian rock songs at victory katipunan)
2. i really like you being self-taught or "autodidactic". nakaka-inspire 🌈
3. i wish you wrote poetry in englishhhh 😞
4. you had me at your research writing style.
5. do you have any other interests other than music? 😏🍵
